Morgan Stanley has appointed 156 employees to the rank of managing director in its annual round of promotions.

Financial News on January 22 reported that 36 staff from Morgan Stanley's financing, capital markets and advisory ranks that had made the grade - seven of which were London based. The bank on January 25 published the full list.
