Morgan Stanley has made 14 London-based staff across its institutional securities unit - which covers investment banking as well as sales and trading activities - managing directors as part of a 140-strong group-wide, global promotion round.

The bank announced the round on January 12, according to a person familiar with the matter. It’s a smaller group of promotions than in 2016, when 156 staff were named MD.
