Morgan Stanley has named more than 150 new managing directors across its global business, an increase of around 9% on the previous year.

This year's announcement coincides with the start of the annual bonus season — when finance professionals either hear of promotions and pay rises or miss the cut and start to think about seeking work elsewhere.
