Morgan Stanley is moving a managing director from New York to London to become its international chief information officer, promoting a woman to one of the bank’s most senior roles in Europe.

Katherine Wetmur will report to Robert Rooney, head of technology at Morgan Stanley, and Clare Woodman, head of the bank’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a memo seen by Financial News. She will join the bank’s Emea operating committee.
