Morgan Stanley has confirmed the names of the 130 staff elevated to the coveted rank of managing director this year, in its smallest annual promotion in more than 10 years.

It follows reports in late 2019 that the Wall Street bank was cutting around 1,500 jobs from its global workforce amid ongoing concerns about the global economic outlook.
