Morgan Stanley’s Frankfurt offices searched by German officials over tax case

German authorities searched Bank of America and Barclays in March over the same investigation

German prosecutors searched Morgan Stanley’s offices in Frankfurt on 3 May in connection with a years-long tax-fraud probe that has embroiled several financial companies across Europe.

In addition to the bank, authorities searched the homes of two suspects in the case, the Cologne prosecutors’ office said. It aimed to collect email and written correspondence, it added.
