Claire Kent, the luxury goods analyst at the centre of a legal battle between Morgan Stanley and LVMH, has retained her top ranking in the annual Reuters/Institutional Investor European equities research poll.

Kent, who has been the top-ranked analyst in her sector for eight years, and colleagues Amanda Deex and Vanessa Sinclair, beat Merrill Lynch into second place.
