Morgan Stanley shuffles technology leadership

Wealth management was hurt by glitches during a massive technology conversion last year

Morgan Stanley said its global head of operations, technology and data, Stephen Daffron, plans to retire from the securities company, which split up his responsibilities among three executives.

In a memorandum sent to employees, reviewed by Dow Jones Newswires, Morgan Stanley chief operating officer James Rosenthal said Daffron informed him of his decision to retire, though he will remain a senior adviser to the company and will "continue to represent Morgan Stanley on The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation."
