Most new UK issues reached target prices in 2001

Despite the difficult market conditions for new issues this year, the majority of companies floating on the London Stock Exchange achieved the price they were expecting, according to new research.

The Going Public report from the London Stock Exchange and Eversheds, a law firm, said: &quotOver 70% of companies listing on Aim, London's alternative investment market, and 94% of companies listing on the main exchange, achieved the price they were expecting at the outset.&quot
