UBS creates new e-trading role
UBS has hired a market structure specialist to fill a new role in its electronic trading business. Aileen Daly joined UBS as global equities electronic trading operating officer late last year, it has emerged. A spokesman confirmed the move. She is based in London and reports to Max Spoto, the chief operating officer for global equities within the UBS investment bank. Daly joined after more than two years at Exane BNP Paribas, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Nomura appoints investment bankers in Europe
Nomura has appointed Stefano Giudici as head of investment banking for Italy and Guillaume Paillard to the Europe, Middle East and Africa financial institutions coverage team. Giudici joins the Milan office of the Asia-based bank from HSBC. Paillard joins Nomura’s London office from Exane BNP Paribas.
