Müller gives Blessing the baton as Commerzbank beats targets

Commerzbank has named Martin Blessing, head of its German-focused Mittelstand business, to take over as chief executive next May when Klaus-Peter Müller steps down after seven years at the helm.

Confirmation of Blessing's promotion to chair Commerzbank's managing board, with Müller moving to the supervisory board, came as the German bank today reported its quarterly results.
