Luc Vandevelde, the retailing Muscles from Brussels who has restored the fortunes of venerable high street chain Marks & Spencer, gave new meaning to the word 'dapper' when he sashayed in to a Business in the Community event last week. Eschewing the pinstripes that are the veritable uniform of the company chairman classes, the silver-haired Vandevelde opted for a suit in a fetching mustard tone. Well, maybe not mustard exactly. Maybe more of a singed ochre with a hint of turmeric.
