My Big Break: Former GB swimmer and City diversity champion Rebecca Ajulu-Bushell

The FN 100 Most Influential Women list is published on 16 October. Here's what a top City diversity champion has to say ahead of the big reveal

'If you want people to take you seriously in those rooms, you need to stand up tall'
'If you want people to take you seriously in those rooms, you need to stand up tall'

Former Great Britain champion swimmer Rebecca Achieng Ajulu-Bushell wants to shake up the City's tired diversity playbook.

At just 29 years old, she is the chief executive officer of the 10,000 Interns Foundation. The diversity charity was founded by Dawid Konotey-Ahulu, Wol Kolade and Jonathan Sorrell in June 2020 in response to the murder of George Floyd and the resurgent Black Lives Matter movement. It has seen explosive growth under her watch.
