Myners calls for voluntary corporate governance disclosure

Disclosure by pension fund trustees on whether or not they have complied with voluntary corporate governance principles is central to Paul Myners' report on UK institutional fund management.

The UK government asked Myners, chairman of Gartmore Investment Management, to carry out the review. Its findings examine how to raise the level of investment understanding among trustees. Myners said that if trustees did not comply with the corporate governance principles they should say so and hoped that they would do this voluntarily.
