Royal Bank of Canada fired its chief financial officer, Nadine Ahn, after she violated the bank's code of conduct by having an undisclosed personal relationship with another employee.

Ahn was laid off by the Canadian lender following an investigation that "found evidence that, in contravention of the RBC Code of Conduct" she had entered into an undisclosed "close personal relationship", it said in a statement late on 5 April.
