Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced this year's crop of managing directors, with 16 staff in its corporate and investment banking and credit and transaction banking units in Europe among those promoted.

The US bank sent an internal memo to staff on Monday announcing 59 new managing directors across global corporate and investment banking and global credit and transaction banking, according to four people familiar with the matter.
