The National Association of Pension Funds has made Lieutenant General David Cranston CBE the unanimous choice to replace Ann Robinson as director general beginning in July.

Cranston, a hero of the war in the former Yugoslavia, joins the NAPF from Royal Bank of Scotland where he is head of group compliance. Prior to that he was with the Personal Investment Authority.
