Individuals are responding to the UK government’s ‘pensions freedoms’ in one of three ways, according to research by the National Association of Pension Funds – and those who take full advantage are by far the smallest group.

Graham Vidler, the association's director of external affairs, also said consumers' awareness of the government's free pensions advice service - Pensions Wise - was close to non-existent.
