NAPF says pensions shunning equities

Nearly a third of corporate pension schemes have reduced their exposure to equities over the past year, according to the National Association of Pension Funds.

A quarter increased their bond holdings during 2005, while 13% increased their investment in property and 11% in alternatives, such as hedge funds and commodities.
