NASD upgrades ADF quote and display system

NASD, the US regulator, has moved to address concerns that the system it built to display and quote Nasdaq stocks is too weak to compete with Nasdaq's own SuperMontage.

NASD is making it easier for market makers to connect to its Alternative Display Facility (ADF). It has made the system compatible with FIX - the standardised computer language for the securities industry.
