Nasdaq aiming for fourth quarter IPO

Nasdaq said that it hopes to launch its initial public offering in the fourth quarter this year, as the exchange recorded a rise in annual profits.

Wick Simmons, chief executive of Nasdaq, said in a conference call with investors on Thursday: &quotThe earliest we would contemplate an IPO would be in the early fourth quarter of this year.&quot
