Nasdaq OMX chief executive Robert Greifeld retains the support of his company's board of directors despite the most recent technology problem afflicting the exchange group, according to people with knowledge of the board's thinking.
Directors of Nasdaq have "full confidence" in Greifeld's stewardship of the New York-based exchange group, one of the people said, and back his efforts to move Nasdaq into new businesses such as bond trading and corporate services.
