Nasdaq Deutschland names Weber as chairman of board

Nasdaq Deutschland, the US exchange's German venture that is due to start trading next month, has appointed Jim Weber of Nasdaq Europe as chairman of its management board.

Weber is chief executive officer of Nasdaq Europe, which was formed when the US exchange bought Easdaq, the pan-European growth market, in March 2001. Axel Schubert, chairman of the Bremen Stock Exchange, has been appointed as vice-chairman.
