Venu Palaparthi, a vice president at Nasdaq OMX, is joining high-frequency trading firm Virtu Financial next month, according to people familiar with the matter.

Palaparthi will take over the compliance roles of Chris Concannon, the president and chief operating officer of Virtu who is joining Bats Global Markets next month as its new president.
