NatWest Bank's planned sale of subsidiaries could fetch more than £3bn, according to estimates yesterday by Royal Bank of Scotland, which has made a £22.5bn bid for its rival, reports the Financial Times.

RBS suggested NatWest could receive £3.06bn for Ulster Bank, Gartmore, NatWest Equity Partners (NWEP) and Greenwich NatWest.
