Natexis Banques Populaires has appointed Alain Gallois, its head of fixed-income origination, to investigate ways of improving co-ordination between the French bank's fixed-income and equity origination teams.

Gallois joined Natexis in 1999 from Compagnie Parisienne de Réescompte, where he held several roles, including head of bond origination. At Natexis, he is responsible for the origination of fixed-income products, including plain-vanilla bonds, structured bonds and securitisation.
