NatWest chair Sir Howard Davies has vowed to stay in post as a furore over the bank's decision to cut ties with Nigel Farage continues to engulf the lender.

NatWest drew the ire of the politician earlier this month after internal reports showed that while the former UKIP leader had become commercially unviable as a client, its decision to exit him was in part down to political views that did not align with the bank's.
