The former head of Barclays Stockbrokers has teamed up with a former senior executive at German investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort to launch an investment company specialising in financial services companies.

Amy Nauiokas, who was named as one of the Financial News Top 100 Women in Finance last year, joined Barclays in 2004 as head of electronic sales and trading at its Barclays Capital investment banking unit, before moving to the stockbroking arm in 2006.
