Citi names Sultan chairman of institutional client group to lead new digital push

Citigroup has named a new chairman of the division housing its investment banking operations, promoting a long-serving executive to oversee a sweeping new division that will see the bank advise governments and companies on how to prepare for the digital economy.

Naveed Sultan, its global head of its treasury and trade solutions unit, has been named chairman of Citi's institutional clients group, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
