Naya Management, a $1.8 billion hedge fund set up by a former senior partner at TCI, has hired another partner from Chris Hohn's firm who was once named a Financial News Rising Star in hedge funds.
London-based Naya Management was co-founded by Masroor Siddiqui, who had worked at TCI, and Bruce Emery, a former head of European equities at Citadel. The firm was one of the biggest hedge fund launches of 2012, having won seed backing from Blackstone and attracting around $1 billion in assets in its first year.
