Nearly two fifths of DB pension funds in UK set to close

More than 38% of all UK pension funds are considering closing their final salary - or defined benefit (DB) - schemes, according to new research by SEI Investments, the multi-manager firm.

More than half of all UK small pension funds with assets of between £10m (€15m) and £50m, are considering closing their final salary schemes because they are too expensive to run.
