Neil Woodford, the former star fund manager whose investment empire imploded almost six years ago, has vowed to continue “fighting the case” against a warning notice issued by the Financial Conduct Authority last year.

The FCA last April published findings from its probe into the collapse of the Woodford Equity Income fund in 2019, claiming the stock picker had a “defective and unreasonably narrow understanding of his responsibilities for managing liquidity risks”.
