The UK business secretary has denied claims that the country planned to lower the standards of workers’ rights now that the country has left the European Union.

In a statement posted to Twitter on 14 January, Kwasi Kwarteng responded to the Financial Times’ revelations: “We are not going to lower the standards of workers’ rights.”
