Pensionsnet.com, the pension industry website, is building a database that will allow investment managers to supply their own performance figures to which pension schemes will have direct access.

James Hossack, editor of Pensionsnet, says: 'We set up with the idea that the process which a scheme follows in reviewing investment managers is extremely inefficient. Schemes, investment managers and even consultants have said this.'
