SEC names new divisional deputy director

David Grim has been appointed deputy director of the US Securities and Exchange Commission's division of investment management, the regulator said in a statement. Grim has worked in the division for 17 years, most recently as assistant chief counsel in its office of chief counsel. He joined the SEC in September 1995 as a staff attorney in the division's office of investment company regulation.

Separately, the organisation has appointed Gregg Berman as associate director of the office of analytics and research in the trading and markets division. He has been a senior adviser to the division since June 2010, and has been with the SEC since October 2009.
