Baring Asset Management has appointed Satoshi Kobayashi as director of Japanese equities in Tokyo.

Kobayashi is joining Barings from Fuji Investment Management, where he spent five years managing Japanese equity and convertible bond portfolios for 20 pension scheme clients. He also devised investment schemes and strategies for Japanese equity investments and presented them to prospective pension clients and investment consultants.
