New changes to Singapore's takeover rules could pave the way for more M&A activity in the country.

The Securities Industry Council (SIC) of Singapore has revised its law on partial offers, making it easier for corporates to acquire stakes in Singaporean companies. Partial offers are made when a company or investor wants to acquire less than 100% of a target company's voting shares.
