The new exchange is planning to launch later this year

The Scottish exchange has recruited two senior executives to its ranks as it gears up for launch at the end of the year.

Project Heather, as it is known, has brought in Helen Webster, the former chief executive of Aberdeen Life, to oversee operations at the exchange. Elaine Morton, who was head of conduct, compliance and financial crime at Sainsbury’s Bank, joins as chief regulatory and compliance officer.
