New Star International Investment Products, the offshore arm of New Star Asset Management, plans to launch the New Star Capital Guaranteed European Hedge Fund, its second capital protected fund.

The New Star Capital Guaranteed Hedge fund, the first capital guaranteed hedge fund raised more than $181m (€210m) in the last quarter of 2001. The UK equity hedge fund is run by Alan Miller, chief investment officer of New Star, and Tim Steer, a UK equity analyst.
