Newedge bolsters prime brokerage teams

Newedge, a global multi-asset brokerage business, has bolstered its prime brokerage origination and structuring teams in New York and Hong Kong, FINalternatives reported. Alastair Sclater joins as regional head of origination and structuring for Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong from Mizuho Securities where he was head of the firm's synthetic prime brokerage business in Singapore. Miriam Zaitoun joins as an associate director of the origination and structuring team based in New York from Deutsche Bank where she was most recently vice president and synthetic equity client service manager for global prime finance. Jasper Chua has been hired as an origination and structuring team associate director in New York from Bank of America Merrill lYnch where he was most recently vice president and head of FX PB structuring and integrations. Michael Dolan was been recruited as head of EdgeConnect in New York from Instinet where he was managing director co-president, head of research and commission management services. John Pitt also joins the EdgeConnect team as head of management services from Instinet where he was managing director, research director and operations head for the firm's independent research platform, Instinet Access.
