News in brief: ABN Amro Rothschild promotes Kirkby

ABN Amro Rothschild is moving Matthew Kirkby from Singapore to Hong Kong as head of equity capital markets for Asia Pacific, replacing Michael Hammond.

Hammond is taking a leave of absence for personal reasons. Kirkby was previously head of south Asia equity capital markets. He joined ABN Amro Rothschild from Crédit Lyonnais Securities Asia in March 2000 to build up its south Asia business. Kirkby takes up his new post in Hong Kong on September 1.
