News in brief: DB Capital Partners to expand leisure portfolio

DB Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Deutsche Bank, has entered into an agreement with Bourne Leisure to acquire the Oasis Forrest Holiday Village in the UK's Lake District.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval because DB Capital Partners bought CentreParcs, Oasis' rival holiday village owner, from Scottish & Newcastle in a £670m (€1.06bn) deal last March. Bourne Leisure owns Butlins, the holiday camp operator. It acquired Oasis as part of Rank's holiday arm, which it bought for £600m last September. The DB Capital purchase is thought to be worth around £100m.
