News in brief: Deutsche Bank appoints head of Indonesian business

Deutsche Bank has hired Ray Gunara as president director of Deutsche Securities, Indonesia, to lead its debt capital markets business in the country.

Gunara will take responsibility for Deutsche's debt origination and underwriting business in Indonesia. He will report to Rahul Mookerjee and C H Tee, the Asian co-heads of debt capital markets and liability risk management. He will also work closely with Suresh Narang, chief country officer of Deutsche, Indonesia. Gunara was previously managing director of investment banking at PT Bahana Securities and has been involved in debt, privatisation and financial advisory transactions for the Indonesian government and quasi-state and private companies. Before that, Gunara worked for Citibank in Jakarta.
