Deutsche Bank in New York has hired Andrés Rojo, joining from JP Morgan Chase, as managing director and head of the private bank for South America.
Rojo will be reporting to Carlos Padula, regional head and chief executive of private wealth management in Latin America. The team has added 28 investment professionals over the past 14 months. At JP Morgan Rojo was head of private banking sales for Argentina and Chile, and follows 12 others from the firm who joined Deutsche in the summer. Padula said: "We have identified Latin America as a region for growth and these hires significantly expand our depth of coverage as well as our breadth of experience in investment banking, investment advisory, relationship management and brokerage."
