Deutsche Bank has hired Mariano Aldama as head of debt capital markets for Spain.
Aldama previously worked in a similar role at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and before that at JP Morgan. He will report to Jorge Calderon, global head of debt capital markets. Aldama's hiring comes four months after Deutsche Bank lost a handful of market professionals in Spain when Barclays Capital staged a raid on its debt business. The UK-based securities firm hired a small number of debt markets personnel from Deutsche for its European and US capital markets businesses.
