News in brief: Friends Ivory & Sime director to head Swedish firm

Robert Bloom, managing director of Friends Ivory & Sime in New York, has quit to head up Länsförsäkringar Kapitalförvaltning, a Swedish asset management firm, also in New York.

Jack Junel, head of Länsförsäkringar Kapitalförvaltning in Stockholm, said the appointment would give the firm a good base for its North American asset management products. The firm manages Skr19bn (€2.1bn) out of its New York office and Skr190bn globally.
