News in Brief: Huge demand for cannabis company's IPO

The initial public offering of a UK company that develops cannabis products for medical use was so popular that the deal size was increased more than 50%.

GW Pharmaceuticals sold 13.7 million shares at 182p, raising £25m (€41m) and giving the company a market capitalization of £175m. It had only set out to raise £16m at its Aim flotation. Collins Stewart is nominated adviser and broker to GW.
