David Helm has joined Odey Asset Management, the London based hedge fund set up by Crispin Odey, as sales and marketing director.

Helm, who joined from Investec Asset Management, is responsible for the co-ordination and development of the sales and marketing team, ongoing strategy, organisation and product development. As head of international retail sales at Investec in in Southern Africa, where he has lived for the last three years, Helm brings experience from both the UK and international asset management industry gained over the past twelve years.
