State Street Corporation has hired Alan Dawson as vice president of client services in its investment management solutions (IMS) business in Edinburgh.

He reports to John Campbell, managing director of IMS Europe. Dawson joins State Street from Murray Johnstone, where he was a director of business information services. In his new role he will focus on State Street's investment operations outsourced services for its partnership with Scottish Widows.
