News in brief: WestAM hires two emerging market analysts

WestLB Asset Management (WestAM), €40bn institutional asset management arm of WestLB, has hired two investment analysts for its global emerging markets group.

Glen Prentice and Daniel Tubbs join WestAM's 12-strong team from KPMG and Arthur Andersen, respectively. They will report to Allan Conway, global head of emerging markets at WestAM. The appointments reflect the popularity of emerging markets as global institutions become attracted by cheap valuations and premium growth in the current low interest rate environment, said Conway.
